MINT FESTIVALS
Before the Mint Group launched their Latin Splash festival on Clapham Common in 2002, few promoters would dare venture south of the River Thames. Now the site has become one of the most popular festival locations in London.
The Mint Group flew over 100 artists from Columbia, Miami, New York and Puerto Rico (including South American superstar La India) for their landmark South American themed festival. The following year they teamed up with Groove Armada’s popular ‘Lovebox’ event. Finally, in 2004 the team launched a three-day 60,000 capacity showcase festival, encompassing Latin Splash, Lovebox and a headline show from Moloko. In 2005 Mint staged two events, with headline performances from Paul Oakenfold and Jamiroquai.
Building on their success for hosting events of mass appeal, The Mint Group have several exciting projects planned for 2007. Thereafter, festivals will take place annually.
